ProductAccounting and finance

The bookkeeping in Levano.
Booked in e-conomic.

Vouchers are read, the bank is reconciled, bills are paid and client funds are checked every morning. The postings are booked in your own e-conomic, and the auditor gets it all in one place.

01A voucher's way

From voucher to balance, without typing it twice.

Follow a courier bill on the purchase of Amagerbrogade 12. Levano reads it, sends it to e-conomic, finds the bank line and shows what it does to the figures.

02Vouchers and reading

Levano reads the voucher. You confirm.

Vouchers arrive as uploads, by email to the firm's voucher address or as e-invoices. Levano reads the fields, suggests the account and lets you check before anything is booked.

In
Upload, email to the voucher address, e-invoices and bank movements without a voucher
Files
PDF, PNG, JPG and HEIC, and XML as Peppol BIS, OIOUBL or UBL
Read
Supplier, CVR, invoice number, dates, amounts, VAT and payment details
Account
Suggested from the supplier's earlier vouchers. No history, no suggestion
Proposals
What was read stands as a proposal until you confirm it

03Posting queue and law-firm chart

A chart of accounts that knows a law firm.

The law-firm chart lays fees, outlays and client funds over your own accounts in e-conomic, and a missing account is created there. The posting queue shows everything e-conomic has not booked yet, and everything it turned down.

Fees
18 fee accounts that 85 areas of law land on
Practice accounts
Client outlays, court fees, land registration duty, client bank, client liability and work in progress
Your chart
The roles sit on your own account numbers. What is missing is created in e-conomic
Posting queue
Every posting with its source, status, error and attempts. Nothing re-runs on its own

04Bank and reconciliation

Every bank line finds its voucher.

The statement is fetched through Yapily, with the firm's consent. Levano suggests a match and shows why, and you match it, book it or leave the line. When the bank agrees with the ledger, you mark the period as reconciled.

Connection
Yapily, with consent in your online bank. Levano never sees your login
Fetching
Once an hour, with a week's overlap
Match
Invoice number in the text, the exact remaining amount and the same counterparty as before. If two candidates tie, there is no suggestion
Actions
Match, book as a voucher, book from a template or ignore
Period close
Bank against the ledger for the period, marked as reconciled

05Creditors and payment runs

The bills paid in one run.

A bill is approved by someone other than the person who registered it. The approved bills are gathered in a payment run that you approve in your own bank, and once the payment goes through, it is booked in e-conomic.

Approval
The person who registers a bill does not approve it. If the amount or payee changes, it is approved again
The run
Approved bills with an amount outstanding, sent to the bank together
The bank
You approve in your own online bank, once for the whole run or once per bill
Booking
In e-conomic, once the payment has gone through
Suppliers
The creditor register is read in from e-conomic

06Client funds

An outcome every day. A surplus is not a clear day.

You answer for the client account, and you are the one the auditor asks. Every morning Levano writes the day down: whether the bank covers what the clients are owed, whether anyone is in minus, and whether the day could be checked at all.

Daily control
At 7:20 am. Covered, surplus, shortfall, negative client balance or not checked. The row is written once
Three-way reconciliation
The bank, the ledger and the clients, every month and for each client bank account
Interest
The bank's interest split across the clients by daily balance. You approve the split
The declaration
Levano gathers the basis in a cover and six CSV files with SHA-256. The auditor gives the client-account declaration

07Reports and the auditor

The auditor gets it all. With a receipt.

The statements, the trial balance and the subledgers are ready and download as CSV, XLSX or PDF. The audit log is a hash chain, so a changed row cannot hide, and the accounting handover gathers it all for the auditor.

Statements
Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
Control
General ledger, a trial balance approved as the basis for control, and subledgers for customers and suppliers
Currency
Exchange differences on foreign currency
Audit log
Each row carries the previous row's checksum. The chain is checked every night
Handover
A ZIP with data, files, a manifest with SHA-256 and a list of what is missing. The recipient signs for it

08e-conomic

e-conomic is the engine. You work in Levano.

Levano books into your own e-conomic agreement and reads the result back. The books stay where they are, and you do not switch.

From Levano

  • Invoices

Booked when you approve them. e-conomic gives the invoice number.

Into the journal and booked, with the voucher number sent back.

  • Payments

Incoming payments once reconciled, and outgoing ones once they go through.

Questions and answers

Questions about accounting and finance.

Do we have to change accounting software?
No. e-conomic is the engine. Levano books into your own e-conomic agreement and reads status, the ledger and the chart of accounts back. The books stay where they are.
Is Levano a registered bookkeeping system?
No. The postings are booked in your own e-conomic agreement, and e-conomic is registered with the Danish Business Authority. The firm is responsible under the Danish Bookkeeping Act and must keep its accounting records for 5 years.
Does AI choose the account?
No. The account is suggested from the supplier's earlier vouchers, and a bank match rests on fixed signals: invoice number, amount and counterparty. Every suggestion shows why, and you confirm.
Can Levano pay our bills?
Yes, in a payment run. The approved bills go to the bank together, and you approve the payment in your own online bank. Levano never sees your login.
What does the auditor get for the client-account declaration?
The basis in one ZIP: a cover sheet and six CSV files with the client specification, the reconciliation, the movements, the daily controls, the bank accounts and the deviations, each with SHA-256. The auditor gives the declaration, you file it, and the receipt can be kept in Levano.
What happens if e-conomic rejects a posting?
It stays in the posting queue with the error and the number of attempts. Nothing re-runs on its own, because e-conomic may have booked it before the answer came back. You check and try again.
